Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and upon his family and companions.
I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the College of Nursing at Al-Jouf University. In my name and on behalf of all colleagues at the college, we cannot miss extending our thanks and appreciation to our wise leadership for the unlimited support for the health sector in general and nursing colleges across the Kingdom in particular. Thanks are also extended to His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, for his interest in the college and his guidance to activate it starting from the academic year 1444 AH, as the college launched from the nucleus of the Nursing Department to one of the most important health colleges at the university due to the importance of nursing specializations and the need of the labor market for such competencies.
Since its establishment, the college has taken confident and steady steps towards excellence and advancement at all educational and research levels and in the field of community service. The college began by developing an organizational structure, a strategic plan and work priorities, and teams, units and committees were formed to supervise the implementation and follow-up of these tasks. The college also worked to establish advisory councils for the college with membership of a number of experts and specialists within the Kingdom, and the Student Advisory Council. The college also did not neglect the academic aspects and applied the highest standards and latest scientific methods in education and training with the presence of distinguished academic, technical and administrative competencies. The college deanship was keen to attract a number of faculty members to join the college and to support cadres of specialists in various nursing specialties and fields.
Within the framework of the college's efforts to improve the quality of its programs in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 and in line with the university's strategic plans and with the support of the university's leadership, the Bachelor's Program in Nursing obtained academic accreditation from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission. The college also updated its academic plans and academic calendar. The college worked to develop and create a number of qualitative programs that serve the labor market and society, such as professional diplomas (patient care technician), and the bridging program in nursing for academic promotion for holders of diplomas in nursing. Postgraduate programs have been created, represented by the Science in Nursing Program with four specialized tracks that keep pace with the aspirations and needs of the labor market: Adult Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
In the field of research, the college has established a specialized database to follow up and encourage scientific departments to enhance scientific publishing and affiliation with the college, and the percentage of scientific publishing and production of faculty members has increased.
All the achievements of the college are due to the cooperation and combined efforts of the distinguished members of the college, its employees and students, from various activities and achievements that we are proud of. In conclusion, I can only express my thanks and gratitude to my colleagues, faculty members, employees, students and workers, for their sincere efforts to serve the university and society.
And Allah is the Grantor of success.
