    Overview
    The Clinical Laboratory Sciences program is one of the College of Applied Medical Sciences programs. The clinical laboratory sciences program provides theoretical and clinical applied studies during four years based on a semester system (eight levels), followed by a training internship, one year, after which the student is awarded a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory sciences; To practice the profession as a laboratory specialist.

    This course reviews basic language skills with a focus on the syntactic level, including construction and parsing (original, estimated and local), and the analysis of the Arabic sentence in all its forms and complements. This is done by studying texts, understanding them, and inferring grammatical rules from them, while discussing them in depth. The course aims to achieve a main goal of overcoming grammatical and stylistic errors, and ensuring linguistic integrity in writing. It also seeks to develop students' ability to develop their skills in reading, comprehension, writing and speaking accurately, while improving and developing writing styles.

The rules of construction of terms are emphasized, and analysis of complex terms is presented to give their meaning, and to define and spell medical words correctly. This course provides students with the building blocks of medical terminology as prefixes, suffixes, roots, combining forms, pronunciation, spelling, plural, abbreviations and the definitions of medical terms related to different body systems required for future clinical practice.
