This course is intended to provide information to assist the student in reduction of risk involved in laboratory work. Knowledge of the hazards associated with each chemical and the proper steps to protect yourself is critical to your safety as well as that of your coworker. You must always minimize chemical exposure and potential emergencies, as well as comply with all state and federal regulation. Also, this course will review chemical hazard, chemical hygiene, personal protective equipment and ventilation in the lab.
