Course Description
This course introduces the function and planning of workshop, Dimensional metrology, properties of materials and their applications, non-ferrous metals and ferrous alloys production, plain carbon and alloy steels - tool steels and the iron-carbon diagram, heat treatment of steels: annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering, surface hardening, aging, destructive and nondestructive testing of metals, workshop metrology, basic bench work operations, machining and forming operations , basic workshop processes (turning, milling, grinding, forging, sheet metal work), welding processes (gas welding, arc welding, spot welding), casting processes (sand casting, die casting), industrial safety.
