Course Description
The course is considered as an introduction to the visual arts with emphasis on the viewing, understanding, and appreciation of stylistic movements and periods of art and representative art works. An exploration of the elements of art including style, structure, and meaning. The course will demonstrate awareness of various arts' theories and will enable them to organize and relate abstract ideas to practical outcomes. The course is instructed in a format that combines lecture, discussion, and practice, through three integrated ways: experimental, analytic, as well as criticism. Students will be expected to read, view, listen to, discuss research, and write about works of art.
The course is conducted through a serious of lectures, projects, presentations and discussions.
