This course covers the basic and advanced principles of biostatistics. The course will especially focus on specific tools for describing data sets graphically and numerically; methods for performing inference on population means and proportions via sample data; statistical hypothesis testing and its application to group comparisons; issues of power and sample size in study designs; and different study designs.
