The Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Administration at Jouf University was established pursuant to the decision of His Excellency the University President No. (387/46/4) dated 04/09/1446 AH, based on the Council of Ministers’ Decision No. (92) dated 24/01/1446 AH, which includes the approval of the Guiding Framework for the Governance of Public Entities.

Driven by Jouf University's vision to achieve institutional excellence, enhance transparency and accountability principles, and improve operational efficiency, this office was established as a key pillar that contributes to supporting the university’s effective governance system. The Office of Governance, Risk, and Compliance is directly linked to the Office of His Excellency the University President and operates under his direct supervision, ensuring alignment between governance policies and the university’s strategic directions.

The office is concerned with developing and implementing a comprehensive governance framework that clarifies roles and responsibilities within the university, contributing to process control and decision-making based on approved policies and procedures. The office also works on building and activating an integrated risk management system aimed at the early identification of potential challenges and risks, while developing proactive plans to address them effectively. In addition, the office ensures full compliance with all relevant local and international laws and regulations by monitoring policy implementation and ensuring adherence, with a continuous commitment to applying best university practices and recognized professional standards.
