Abstract

Abstract
Antibacterial activity of essential oil of dried inflorescence of Cymbopogon nervatus was
investigated. The essential oil remarkably inhibited the growth of tested bacteria except for
Salmonella typhi. The maximum activity was against Shigella dysenteriae and Klebsiella
pneumoniae.
