Abstract

Abstract: - This study aimed to determine the effect of using cloud computing on the quality of financial reports
in the banking sector, specifically Banque Misr in Egypt. The focus was on examining the relationship between
the characteristics of cloud computing and financial reporting quality. A quantitative approach was adopted
using a questionnaire distributed to 96 employees of Banque Misr. The questionnaire measured perceptions
regarding cloud computing characteristics and financial reporting quality. Statistical analysis included
reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing using regression. The findings showed cloud
computing characteristics positively influence financial reporting quality, accounting for 49.7% of the variance.
Specifically, measured service and broad network access had the strongest positive impacts. All cloud
computing attributes were significantly correlated with a comparability of financial reports. The adoption of
cloud computing improves the quality of financial reports in banks through enhanced automation, analytics,
collaboration, security, and resilience. Cloud platforms enable more accurate, transparent, and timely financial
reporting.
