Abstract
Objectives:WeaimedtotranslateandculturallyadapttheArrhythmiaSpecificQuestionnaireinTachycardiaandArrhythmiaHealth-RelatedQualityofLife(ASTA-HRQOL)scaleintoArabicamongolderadultpatientswithanytypeofarrhythmia.Methods:Aforward-backwardtranslationmethodwasusedintranslatingthescaletoArabic.130olderadultsdiagnosedwitharrhythmiawererecruitedbyconveniencesamplingfromFebruary2023toJanuary2024.Psychometricanalysisinvolvedinternalconsistency,test-retestreliability,convergentvalidity,floorandceilingeffects,discriminantvalidity,factorialvalidity,diagnosisaccuracy,andcalibration.Results:Thescaleshowedexcellentinternalconsistencyandreliability.Convergentanddiscriminantvaliditywereemphasized,andconfirmatoryfactoranalysisdemonstratedagoodfitofthemodelfollowingmodifica-tion.Thecut-offpointfordiscriminatingbetweenpoorandgoodqualityoflifewas13.5,andtheareaunderthecurvewas0.95.Conclusion:TheASTA-HRQOLArabicquestionnairepresentedgloballygoodpsychometricpropertiesamongolderadultpatientswitharrhythmia.
