Abstract

This study aimed at explaining the most important factors affecting foreign direct investment in Sudan using the self-regression method with distributed dictated gaps (ARDL) during the period (1993-2016). The study used the descriptive approach and the econometric method in model formation and Eviews program in the analysis Data were obtained from the Central Statistical Organization and the annual reports of the Central Bank of Sudan, the study reached many results, the most important of which are the results of the long-term showing the impact of the gross domestic product, the exchange rate, the rate of inflation, and external debt on foreign direct investment, the results study recommended that attention be paid to building models in standard research with modern methods that are in line with the economic reality, and that it must be indicated according to economic theories, taking into account the temporal and spatial component of the nature of economic and social activity from one to another country.
