Abstract

The smart methodology of chicken farms is a new direction for using modern and intelligent tools from the most common tools in Internet of Things technology (IoT) in addition to the cutting out old tools and equipment. The model of smart chicken farming needs for adding some sensors, actuators and micro controller unit. The main issues in the normal chicken farms are related to the behavior and the impression of human elements that include the properties of neglect and forgetfulness. In this paper, the adaptive version for chicken farms that is called smart chicken farms is proposed. The modern tools in IoT are utilized for handling and observing the repeated operation. The proposed method handles all the daily and repeated operations such as the needed amount of food, temperature, light and water to control the degree of chicken growth. Two chicken farms that have the same size are selected for the experiments. One is a normal chicken farm and another is a smart chicken farm by the proposed approach. These two farms that are used starts with the same chicken quantity. The results confirm that smart chicken farm has a high efficiency in various measures like quantity of chicken production, the rate of change in temperature and the depreciation rate.
