University Guidance Forum
The Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs at Jouf University, represented by the Executive Committee of the University Guidance Department, organized the University Guidance Forum, one of the key initiatives aimed at enhancing academic and student advising practices within the university and developing the skills of academic advisors to help achieve high-quality educational outcomes.
The forum discussed a range of modern topics and emerging trends in university guidance, including effective communication methods between advisors and students, mechanisms for monitoring academic performance, and the role of guidance in supporting students’ academic, psychological, and social development. It also featured presentations of successful practices from various university colleges in the field of academic advising.
The forum emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among the University Guidance Department, the deanships, and colleges to achieve the goals of academic guidance and raise awareness of its essential role—particularly in helping students overcome academic challenges and build personal and professional skills that support their success throughout their university journey.
This forum comes as part of the Vice Presidency’s efforts to develop the university guidance system and enhance its role in improving educational outcomes, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to prepare a qualified generation equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to compete in the labor market and contribute to national development.
